Whoseewhatsit Thursday - First Contest of 2012

Since we had a few hiccups with our critique giveaways in 2011, we decided to modify the rules just a bit.  For 2012 and beyond, here's what you need to know about Whoseewhatsit Thursday Critique Contests.

*  Enter on the first Thursday of every month by leaving a comment on the Whoseewhatsit post.  The topic for the month will be included in that month's post (i.e., first 250, query letter, etc.)

*  Winner will be selected randomly using (go figure) random.org on the following Sunday

*  Winner will need to have her or his piece submitted to The Oasis by the second Thursday of the month

*  The Oasis will e-mail the winner full and complete critiques from all six of The Oasis Sisters.  We will also post some or all of the critiques on the blog on the third Thursday.

Thus, we intend for the prize (thorough critiques from the six of us as if we were your CPs) to also be a learning opportunity for all of our Oasis Seekers.

Got it?  Good.  Now on to this month's contest ~ the Synopsis.  Nikki posted some tips for writing a synopsis last week and we could tell from the comments that this is an area that stumps many of you.  And for good reason -- it's hard!  So, this month's winner will receive a critique of either a single-spaced page or two double-spaced pages of their short synopsis.

Please enter only if you have a synopsis that you are prepared to send to us by next week if you're selected.  We can't wait to see what you have in store for us!
