THANKFUL THURSDAY: Thanks to Our Oasis Seekers!

As a group we are extremely thankful for all of our Oasis Seekers, and offer our congrats to Brodie in Australia who won a copy of Beth Fantaskey's Jekel Loves Hyde!

Jessica:
I'm thankful for my rock, that is, my husband. Without him there is no way I'd be able to handle everything going on in my life right now. The ups or the downs.

AE:
I am extremely grateful for my cast of writing world friends who understand the neurotic fits we sometimes have of being lost in our own little worlds, and know exactly what we mean when we say our brains feel squishy. I'm also very thankful for my friends and family who know, and who understand, that while I have Rheumatoid Arthritis, I try not to let it 'have' me. I've been flagging a bit lately on that, the joints and muscles flaring, and it always makes me more grateful for those who encourage the constant fight.

Sheri:
I'm thankful for my cyber writing community (including you wonderful Oasis ladies) and how much I've grown over the last 3 1/2 months as a writer. I live in a beautiful state, but with our geographic locals so far apart I've found it difficult to connect with other local writers. There are many--a few in particular--who I've found a comfortable connection with. It's made all the difference. I would not be where I am today without my internet blogging buddies.

Jessie:
I'm thankful to learn that DESTINED made it into the final rounds in the Florida Writer's Association Royal Palm Literary Awards for unpublished young adult novel (based on feedback from 3 judges on the first 50 pages). Now I submit the full manuscript, get another judge, and wait some more. :)

Nikki:
I'm thankful for the support of family and friends, especially when I feel at times that my world is spinning slowly out of control! With so many activities, and responsibilities, it's nice to realize time and time again what really counts.

  5. @Jessica Hug your daughter for me. My RA hits the muscles as well as the joints, makes me weak and fatigued. RA, simply put, sucks.
